WHY VOLUNTEER?

As a volunteer for HEAL Foundation, you'll help to serve underpriviledged communities with limited or no access to clean water, healthcare and education while also working towards improving human rights, and protecting the environment

WHAT'S INVOLVED

Your responsibilities will vary based on your skills, but could include:

• Resource Person in the field e.g. Hygeine Promotion to NTD endemic coumminities,Mass Administration of Medicine (MAM) etc
• Research and report writing
• Creating and managing fundraising proporsals and activities
• Providing programme support through website website development, social media, and designing sensitising materials
• Creating presentations to launch new projects and ideas
• Collaborating and assisting with the development of projects and events...and many more. No two days are the same.

At HEAL Foundation, we believe that the children are the future and they are great agents of change in their family and community at large.

HEAL Kids is an opportunity for children to be a part of giving back in their communities. 

We organise events in the areas of WASH, Health, Environmental Sanitation and days out to create awareness in a fun but effective manner.

HEAL Youths is an initiative by HEAL Foundation to give Youths between the ages of 18-25 a safe space to express themselves. The Youths become a part of HEAL Foundation and meet up twice a month to come up with ways they can give back and make a difference.

We have a current Menstrual Hygiene campaign which began on the 28th of May - Global Menstrual Hygiene Day.

We want to ensure that 1000 girls have a dignity kit to help with their periods. 

Just N2000 will provide a dignity kit for a young girl ensuring she has a dignified period. We will also educate them on menstrual hygiene management to break the stigma attached to menstruation.

Where are you located?

We are located in Abuja, FCT. Nigeria, but we operate in all geopolitical zones of Nigeria 

Can I become a volunteer?

Yes you can. We always welcome volunteers at HEAL and you can apply to be a volunteer by going to the Volunteer tab and making an application 

What are NTDs? 

NTDs stand for Neglected Tropical Diseases 

What is WASH?  

WASH is an acronym for Water Sanitation and Hygiene 

What is CLTS? 

CLTS stands for Community Led Total Sanitation

Does HEAL mean anything? 

Yes it does Health! In addition to meaning to cure a disease or become healthy, it is an acronym for Health Environment Advocacy Learning, which are the 4 pillars of HEAL Foundation
